Description
How to find the right balance between giving a free, spontaneous and interesting performance and avoiding mistakes that make it uneditable.
Lots of theatre-trained actors find working on camera intimidating and restricting. They’re worried about overacting, or about making continuity mistakes, or even just about showing how uncomfortable they feel.
That means they can never give their very best on the screen.
Others might feel at home on camera, but find that their performances are often heavily cut in the final movie and they don’t understand why.
There’s a fine balance between giving a natural and spontaneous performance and being so varied that you create all sorts of continuity problems for the editor.
In this workshop, we will look at how you can be free in your acting whilst giving a performance that doesn’t end up on the cutting room floor.
In this two day intensive professional workshop you will learn:
- How to stop fearing the camera
- How to give a free and spontaneous performance
- How to avoid continuity mistakes
- How to make sure your performance is easy to edit
